Title: That's mint.
Date: Sunday, February 28, 2010
Yo, peeps!
Much to the dismay of DCNB, we decided to follow up on our previous promise of blogging more by undertaking yet another absense. In our defense, however, the Olympics were taking place and while Sam was working her butt off for some much needed mula for our upcoming Disneyland trip, me and Fiona decided to embark on our own adventures which mostly consisted of venturing Downtown and taking in all the sites. Below are the outfits we wore to Fiona's best friend's, and my new friend's, birthday. We'd made a pit stop at Safeway and decided to make use of the cookie/frozen goods aisle by photographing in it.

Aldo Purse; Unknown Cardigan; Rodarte Shirt; Unknown Skirt

5 feet. :)

Dynamite Pleather Jacket; H&M Purse; Thrifted Shirt; Payless Booties.

Mmm, Oreo thins!
This man-inspired outfit was worn to an outing in Granville Island. Boy, do they ever have good hot dogs.

Mom's shirt; AA Cardigan; Aldo Necklace
Indubiously,
Sheila

Title: I see your body lighting up in the moonlight
Date: Monday, February 15, 2010
Hola!
So, DCNB is back for good. We promise!

We all go to a Catholic school, so uniforms are pretty much are lives (Booo). However, there are some occasions where we get to dress our best, showcased by Sheila and I (At 7:00 in the morning. We hate choir.)

Fiona: Urban Behavior coat, Old Navy shirt, Vintage belt, Wal-Mart skirt, Steve Madden shoes
Sheila: Urban Outfitters dress, Urban Outfitters shoes
Pay attention to Sheila's beautiful backless dress (aka don't mind my face)
Other non-fashion related good news: Winter Olympics are happening right here in Vancouver! You know what that means... No school for two weeks! Yay! Too bad there's no snow here though, ha.
Anyway, expect pictures of us downtown like we're tourists (Hey, that does mean we do get to lug around a huge camera without stares? "We're from *insert American State here*")
And then don't mind this picture. A reenactment of a picture we took in grade 8.
How embarassing
Peace out, homies!

Title: That was CRAZY!
Date: Friday, August 21, 2009
So, I've quite neglected this blog for awhile. But it's summer! I'm supposed to go reak havoc and go out in the clothes I slept in, and sleep in the clothes I wore. Which, I don't think is very hygenic. So I don't really do that.
Anyway! Awhile ago, the boyfriend and I decided to have a picnic! We found our way to White Rock, for an amazing beach near the US/Canada Border.
We're very good at people watching. That castle in the middle is also AMAZING.
The whole day was spent eating ham and cheese croissants and chocolate dipped strawberries, looking for shapes in the clouds/tree branches, watching people build sandcastles, trying to climb the huge White Rock, having adventures underneath the pier, and getting embarassed. I am apparently very good at that last bit.
Old Navy t, thrifted belt, skirt bought in a random store in SoCal for $8,
& some of my beloved rings (including a VERY fake Chanel one. heh)
Nine West wedges

I see a dinosaur/dragon head on the right. What do you see?
Hope your remaining summer is filled with delicious strawberries, sun and loved ones!

Title: Boy, you a sight to see (Kinda something like me)
Date: Saturday, July 18, 2009
As I write this post, I think about how I could be planning my outfit for the No Doubt concert tonight. But no, I am not going anymore because my best friend sold our tickets (Yeah... I don’t understand what he was thinking either). Well, I guess I’ll stop complaining right about now… :)
*Sigh, I love family vacations & road trips. Here's some photos:

Oh noes, my mustache is askew!
AA tulip skirt, Hanes t stolen from my little brother, Payless shoes,
Chinese Laundry bag, Mom's vintage belt, JC Penny cardigan

At five feet, I could probably audition to be one of the dwarfs.
Old Navy tee, Ross skirt & sandals

Obviously, I wore a skirt to endure an 18 hour drive.
I thought my face would look better if it was the whole wide world.
AA hoodie, Old Navy tee, Target/wannabe AA skirt, Ross shoes
A sixteen hour drive to San Francisco, stayed in a really nice/big house, toured Alcatraz, bought a harmonica, played outside in the dark, sucked at ping pong. Then off to Las Vegas, the hottest place known to mankind (or, at least to me… Oh. Guess I wasn’t done complaining, huh? Ha!), with me not gambling, not drinking, not doing anything but shop because I am well under aged. Being a princess. Staying at Circus Circus and not seeing even one clown, playing “gambling games for kids”. I plan to stay at every single hotel there when I am older and a gold digger. Watching Criss Angel x Cirque du Soleil, which had it’s moments but honestly, it was disappointing. Off to Arizona, for the Grand Canyon. Getting lost, what the hell is Route 66, stopping by the Hoover Dam, and ooh pretty sights. Finally, to LA, for family, sleeping, fourth of July, fireworks, little devils running around (who sometimes can be cutie angels), Disneyland/California Adventures, mmm I love churro’s!, Magic Mountain is the best thing in the whole wide world, In ‘N Out various times, shopping, a Seaworld, getting sunburnt, Raging Waters, getting sunburnt again, then going back home. A stop by Oregon overnight, for shopping, cheap McDicks and rest. Finally finally finally (although I miss it dearly in California!)… home.

I love my daddy <3>
I also love my $10 sunglasses :)
Off to babysit… hope you’re having a fun summer much like I am!
Fiona, your fellow mustache.

Title: *Silence, then creepy/sad music* But you're just a boy...
Date: Saturday, June 20, 2009
I'm sorry lovely blog. I have abandoned you for the longest time :( But, guess what?
School's out for summer! (I was going to link Alice Cooper, but I suppose that might be too much, correct?) Yay, time for this blog to apparently "piss out posts"? (Thanks, Danny T! =p)
Moving on... Honestly, sometimes I wish I was born of the opposite gender. Think about it: they don't have as high standards as girls have to live up to, they don't need to worry once a month, plus it's completely reasonable if they're messy (Oh, but I cleaned my room last week? Yay, me!)
If I were a boy... *cue Beyonce/Sasha Fierce musicI would probably be a lot taller (Ya know, at least 5'1.
The freakin' Olsen's are taller than me!), stronger, and dumb-er. Tehehe. Actually, thinking about it... If I were a boy I would probably listen to the same kind of music, enjoy the same shows (or at least fully benefit from MANswers!), and laugh at the same jokes
(What did the ghost say to the bee? Boo, bee!).
Anyway, here's to me pretending I was rich and, ya know, a boy!Hm, so first off:

I would probably live in
these Gap v neck shirts instead of crew necks. V necks just look so much... cooler! (But not those reeeally deep v's. It's kinda like,
"Hey buddy. Nobody wants to see your miniature forest. Kthx.")
I would also have good taste in jackets. I mean,
Italia/Brasil jackets?
Really? Especially if you're not Italian or Brazilian. How about those North Face burnt marshmellow jackets? Puke.
= NO NO NO.
= YES YES YES.Thank you
Urban Outfitters for these two beautiful jackets.
Or this other
Urban Outfitters jacket.

I'd buy this, then bedazzle "Gangsta" in gold at the back, then put finishing touches of sequins around it. Just kidding! ... Kinda :)
And then underneath my pants I'd wear these:

They're boxers! On your boxers! Would it be strange if I went into the
Gap and bought these for myself to wear as pajamas?
And these
Urban Outfitter shark socks are amazing! Hm, actually.. do you think these would fit on a 6.5 size woman? ;)

And I do not understand why some boys don't take advantage of cuff links. They are just about the best thing about being a boy. There are so many cool styles, my favourite are these
Banana Republic airplane cuff links. If I owned these, I would feel so
"fly" (Ba dum bum CCH!)

And last, but definitely not least, I believe you are not a true man if you do not own a
Batman T!
- Fiona :)

Title: Influence
Date: Sunday, May 10, 2009

It's no secret that I love
Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen. As a child, I grew up watching Full House. I collected all of their books: The New Adventures of Mary-Kate and Ashley, You're Invited To..., Two of a Kind, books based on their movies, Sweet 16... even the biographies! I begged my parents for their movies, and even if I didn't own some, I still managed to see every Olsen Twin movie there was. Two of a Kind, So Little Time, and their cartoon with the talking dog were my favourite TV shows. I'm in the midst of collecting the whole Full House series on DVD (I have seasons 1-3 and 5), and I got their "Influence" book for Christmas. Heck,
I had/have two chickens named Mary-Kate and Ashley (RIP MK). I think they're two of the few child stars who didn't grow up being psycho, and I love them now as much as I loved them as they famously said, "You got it, dude!"
Here are some (of the MANY) favourite pictures of mine. It was really difficult choosing which ones to share, so I focused mainly on the more recent ones.
Hopefully, you guys will be as inspired as I am:)

And their style! So different, but both amazing. I also love how, when they were advertising for their book, it showed their different styles but still seemed to "go" together.

I have to say, Ashley remains my favourite of the two.

Don't get me wrong, however. I admire Mary Kate for her own unique style, and how she pulls it off effortlessly.

All throughout my life, MK & A have remained an Influence. (hehe)- Fiona :)
thanks a bunch to Olsen Files (!) and Just Jared for the pictures:)
p.s. Happy Mother's Day!
I love you mama:)

Title: Sweeter than sweet peas (8)
Date: Thursday, April 23, 2009
Why, hello there! I've decided I live a boring life; perhaps if I bought a whole new wardrobe this would change? ... Now, how am I going to find all of this money? Honestly, if I was raised with no morals I would be a gold digger. Alas, I do hold some morals. :(
Anyway, here are some things that I wish were mine.

Kate Bosworth at Coachella
viaThe details of her skirt is simply amazing!
Miu Miu Spring 2008
viaEverything in this collection is made for me,
especially this beauty!

Some sort of DIY of this dress
viaYeah, too bad I'm lazy...

Vogue Girl Korea, March 2007
viaI want all of that food too! Mmmmmm
And SUN! via googleimages.
Because honestly, I'm sick of winter and being cold. Hmph.

Title: I'm a Hustla baby, I just want you to know (8)
Date: Tuesday, April 7, 2009

I sang that song all day today, and even managed to get it stuck in Sheila's head. Tehe.
Hm, a further inspection of my outfit on last Saturday.
Dress: American Apparel
Tights: H&M
Shoes: Steve Madden
Necklace: Forever 21
I'm very awkward with pictures, especially head on. My cheeks are too chubby, so I look like a squirrel gathering it's food in preparation of wintertime.
Speaking of chubby... It's our school retreat tomorrow! (Boooooo.) Hopefully Sheila will supply marshmallows; I want to play Chubby Bunny!

Shredded T! Yeah, I know. It's been done a billion times and beyond, but I still love it! Especially since I spent countless hours shredding during a sleepover at Sam's and on the bus, with old men giving me strange looks..
This is what I wore to school last, Friday? Minus the heels, however. Heels + Bussing/Walking for over an hour = Not cool, yo.
Shirt: Superstore DIY'd Camille-style
Pants: Garage
Shoes: Ross
Oh, my head isn't purposely cut off in these pictures. I just still suck with cameras.

Look at the failed attempt at being artistic. Sigh...
Whenever I'm on Picnik, I just want to give myself unusally large eyes and a mustache. Does anyone else feel the same way?
Cardigan: Off The Wall
T: Old Navy
Skirt: American Apparel
Tights: H&M
Shoes: Steve Madden
Necklace: Forever 21
Oh, Sheila and I are psychic! We wore basically the same outfit, if you look at her previous post. Great minds think alike.. Holla!
Yeah, sorry guys. This was a pretty boring post.
*Takes a marshmallow* "Chubby Bunny!"
*Takes another marshmallow* "Chu-bby Buh-nee!"

Title: Cameras up, cameras flash
Date: Monday, March 30, 2009
I'm tipsy, tryna 'lax. (8) Omg, the Gabe Bondoc rendition of that song is SO good! ... Just saying :)
So, it was my cutie patootie goddaughters birthday party last Saturday.

JC Penny L blouse worn as a dress, Ardene socks (for $1!), Ross Leather Jacket,
Fathers stolen watch,Worn with Steve Madden booties.
I think that outfit (minus the shoes) cost me like, $36. Oh yeahh. (Yeah, ignore my face in that last picture. I think I'm the least photogenic person in the whole wide world.)
Hm, I really long for Spring. Can't you see Sheila, Sam and I as these three girls? (Besides the fact that me and Sheila are ridiculously short and none of us are blond.)
fashion squadAnd this is what you get with a girl who is trying to figure out her camera configurations. Sad.
Jacket: Gift from Sam like, two Christmas' ago.
Ooh, you can see some of my stuffed animals! Hm, I see Charlie, Walter, Georgie, Spongebob's house...

Title: Now let's start the show, Step out of the cold (8)
Date: Monday, March 16, 2009
It’s no doubt that I love sleep. So, you could understand how upset I was this morning when my driving lesson was cancelled... I only had 5 hours of sleep for nothing.
Anyway, this is the result of me not being able to go back to sleep. After this winter, I officially hate the cold. Seriously, it's gotten too much for me. Sigh. Here's some outfits that gave me a little pick-me-up:

Aldo, $110; Forever 21, $24.80; Urban Outfitters, $128
Urban Outfitters, $58; Forever 21, $10.80; The most beautiful glasses ever! Dita Eyewear, $500; Urban Outfitters, $28; Hanes, $Ridiculously cheap (Free if you're like me and steal your Dads/brothers/friends/boyfriends); Payless Shoes, $27.99
Forever 21, $4.80; Urban Outfitters, $20; Urban Outfitters, $78; Aldo, $12.98; Steve Madden, $79.95
I apologize that my posts will never be as pretty as Sam's or Daniel's... Haha=p
Oh, and Sheila left for San Francisco today! She's lucky; 18 degree weather!! We all miss her dearly (On the outside. Inside, we're really thinking "Sweeeeeet! No Sheila for a week? This makes Spring Break 123789173x better!" Hah, jk yo.) Have fun Sheman!

Title: At Seventeen,
Date: Friday, March 6, 2009

Look Adrienne, it's your DCNB debut!
Yes, these outfit posts are a bit late, considering my birthday was two weeks ago. But I have them now, and that's all that matters, correct?
You can tell how close the DCNB members are, coming to my family birthday party and what not. I find it amusing how we're the only ones NOT wearing jeans, haha!

Sheila, Sam, Sam (again), DanielThe White One: american apparel dress, pacsun cardigan
The Mustache: old navy tee, american apparel skirt, h&m tights, mom's old belt
The Spy Pants: h&m scarf and shirt, urban behavior jacket, bluenotes vest, warehouse one pants
The Skyscraper: I don't exactly know, sorry guys!
Oh yes, we're always this awesome.
Until next time,
The Mustache.
p.s. Sorry for the Janis Ian title.. Spam kept on singing it a couple of weeks ago and it's never been able to escape from my mind!
